You have now summon the snow. Snow can smell people changing their winter tires, and comes in vengeance after everyone changes their tires.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 12:18 |

That’s my secret. I never change my tires.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 12:20 |

So true. I was planning to head up to Muskoka to change my tires last week. ICE STORM. Still on steelies.

Last year I change my winters for my all seasons. The next day, SNOW STORM.

Yeah, I really need to get my Town & Country out of storage this weekend.

Just went out for lunch and I’m seeing the same thing too, 997 turbo, air cooled beetle, an rs6, 2/3 996 carerras, today is a good day.

until it snows on saturday

All i see is more VAG cars with weird colored rims. Oh well...

Looks like you really put some elbow grease into that spit and shine on the minivan. Oh? Not your car?

I’m not sure why all Canadians don’t just move to Vancouver. So nice out there if you don’t mind it getting all British on you every now and again. Stupid Toronto. mind you it’s pretty nice today. Time for a car wash methinks.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 12:35 |
|
I would guess the cost of living in vancouver is one reason why.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 12:37 |

We’ve literally had like every other day be snowing or 60, no in between, so I have to keep juggling between the M3 and the MINI

Summer cars? I only see one.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 12:41 |

Mmm true. It’s definitely not that nice.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 12:47 |

I was about to ask, what is a summer car?
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:27 |
|
Well for the guy who the MR2 he dd’s a Jeep since driving an MR2 in a foot of snow is either not gonna work or may kill you.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:27 |
|
Eh, it is a college town. They are spread out among the W-Body’s.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:29 |

Have a summer suspension and a winter suspension, along with appropriate tires. Problem solved.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:30 |
|
Quiet you.
That would be funny though, the kid put his MR2 away after the first snow and it ended up being another beautiful month to drive it. So to only have it covered in snow just a week after bringing it back would be amusing.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:33 |
|
Well even then an MR car can be a handful to drive even without ice and shit everywhere. On top of that salt is not very kind to older cars, rusts them up like crazy.
If it was my car I would probably be doing the same.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:38 |

Hahaha
I don’t want it either, I’m just telling you what the weatherman said.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 13:59 |
|
Driving an MR2 may kill you in general.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 14:00 |
|
That’s actually surprisingly easy to do with the MR2. The car’s so light that the suspension parts look like they could have been made for a golf cart. Very easy to take apart. When I was installing mounts for my sway bars, I had the rear struts out in a few minutes.

I’m curious as to the difference between your winter suspension and summer suspension.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:44 |
|
Lifted for the winter, lowered for the winter.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:46 |
|
Ah OK, I thought it may have been more complex than that!
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:49 |
|
Nah, just give it enough clearance to get over snow, not plow it.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:50 |
|
A lower centre of gravity can’t harm either. Are you a skinny winter tyre person or a fat winter tyre person?
Edit: That could’ve been phrased better; Narrow or wide winter tyres?
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:52 |
|
The skinniest tire I’ve ever used in the snow was a 305, so I have no preference as of this date.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:55 |
|
Yeh that’s pretty damn wide. They put my widest summer tyres to shame (285).
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:56 |
|
To be fair, it was an off-road tire.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 15:58 |
|
What wheel width? 8? I have no idea what the offset on a 4runner is, but I’m assuming you’d struggle to fit a 10 under those arches.
![]() 03/30/2016 at 16:09 |
|
I do believe they are 9".

Yay MR2! I’m about to the point where I can do the same with my MR2, but I have driven it in 2 feet of snow, a blizzard, etc with only all season tires.
